Oscar Predictions

Filed under: Movies, Silly — Tags: lsun @ 10:30 am

I’m going to try and predict this year’s Oscar winners. I have not seen most of these films. It’s purely based on how much hype they have received. Here we go… :)

Film: Atonement
Director: Cohen Brothers
Male Lead: Daniel Day Lewis
Female Lead: Ellen Page
Male Support: Javier Bardem
Female Support: Cate Blanchett (Duh)
Adapted Screenplay: No Country for Old Men
Original Screenplay: Juno
Documentary: No End in Sight
Animated: Ratatoueille

  1. One wonders how the writer’s strike will affect this year’s Oscars. I won’t watch it either way, but a trainwreck can still tickle one’s fancy.

P.S. Use the goddamn categories before publishing, I’ll edit it this time.

  2. The writer’s strike should have no effect on this year’s movies, since it usually takes at least a year to make then. Even with the strike, there are piles and piles of spec scripts lying around anyways. The strike might even get some of these scripts produced that might otherwise be neglected.

P.S thanks tag-nazi, what will i ever do without you
